内容
Facing new problems is part of the daily life of any experimental particle physics PhD student.
Despite the large variety of topics and fields, the approach and means to clear such situations is essentially common and portable between them.
I will introduce two cases in which I've been involved along my first year of PhD, the first being a test of the statistical significance of the HERMES results on the Pentaquark Θ+; the second, a hardware efficiency problem on one of HERMES scintillator hodoscope detectors and main part of the physics trigger.
As the tradition in the FGIP-Student Forum, I will start talking about my home town and university, with a brief overview of my academic trajectory that led me to this seminar today.
