Tokyo Tech will create a new professor or associate professor position exclusively for female candidates at each of its eight Schools and Institutes. This measure has been adopted to promote improvement in the significantly low ratio of female faculty members as part of our commitment to “positive action” under Article 8 of the Act on Securing, Etc. of Equal Opportunity and Treatment between Men and Women in Employment
(Equal Employment Opportunity Act).
